Blessed Pio Campidelli, CP

On 9 October, the Diocesan Inquiry of the Archdiocese of Monreale (Palermo, Italy) on an alleged miracle obtained by intercession of Blessed Pio Campidelli, was concluded.

Next steps:

  1. The material collected during the Inquiry will be packed and sealed and will be sent to the Congregation of the Causes of the Saints;
  2. At the written request of the General Postulator, the Congregation of the Causes of the Saints will study what was collected during the diocesan phase;
  3. If the Congregation assents, the Acts of the Inquiry will be consiged to the General Postulator, who will write the Positio;
  4. According to the time frame established by the Congregation, the Positio will be examined in a medical conference and then by the Special Congress of Theologians.
  5. If the Positio passes both “exams”, our Blessed will be declared a Saint.

 

Sr. Carmelina Tarantino, CP

On 20 October, the Diocesan Inquiry of the Archdiocese of Toronto (Canada) on the life and virtue of Sister Carmelina Tarantino, a Sister of St. Paul of the Cross, was concluded.

Next steps:

  1. The material collected during the Inquiry will be packed and sealed and will be sent to the Congregation of the Causes of the Saints;
  2. At the written request of the General Postulator, the Congregation of the Causes of the Saints will study what was collected during the diocesan phase;
  3. If the Congregation assents, the Acts of the Inquiry will be consigned to the Postulator General;
  4. The Postulator will ask for the appointment of the Relator of the Cause and will write the Positio;
  5. According to the time frame established by the Congregation, the Positio will be examined by the Particular Congress of Theologians and later by the Ordinary Session of Cardinals and Bishops.
  6. If the Positio passes both “exams”, our Servant of God will be declared Venerable.
