Venerable GIUSEPPE PESCI

Vincenzo Pesci (in religious life, Giuseppe di Gesù e Maria) was a professed priest of the Congregation of the Passion of Jesus Christ.

He was an esteemed spiritual director, as well as a confessor and retreat director. He wrote many texts for preaching, in which one notes his heartfelt sincerity, his genuine fervor and doctrinal precision inspired by Sacred Scripture, and the Fathers of the Church, for example, St. Thomas Aquinas. In particular he wrote about the Passion of Jesus, the Sorrowful Virgin Mary, and the Eucharist.

He was declared Venerable in 1993.
