Venerable DOLORES MEDINA MARTINEZ ZEPEDA

Dolores Medina Martinez Zepeda was the Foundress of the Sisters, the “Daughters of the Passion of Jesus Christ and of the Sorrowful Virgin”.

After meeting the Passionists, Dolores’ vocation began to emerge– a Passionist serving the poor. “She demonstrated solidarity with the poor, offering them the love of Jesus crucified– the Poorest of the poor and their Saviour”. In 1895 the Archbishop of Mexico City approved their Rule that was inspired by the Rule written by St. Paul of the Cross.

She was declared Venerable in 1988.
