On December 4, 2025, the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, granted me a private audience.
I experienced this moment as a spiritual encounter,
in which to present to the Pope the support and prayer of our Congregation
and the entire Passionist Family, in favor of his service as Pastor and Guide of the Church.
On this occasion, I offered Pope Leo a Relic of St. Paul of the Cross,
the Dictionary of the Passion of Jesus,
and the History of the Passionist Apostolic Vicariate of Yurimaguas (Peru).
I also brought to the Pope a candle,
specially decorated with the papal coat of arms and the Passionist sign
by the Passionist Nuns of Tarquinia, to indicate their constant prayer for him.
In the dialogue, I presented the situation of our Congregation,
with the challenges that lie before it,
gathering the suggestions and counsel of the Holy Father,
who for many years served the Authority in the Order of St. Augustine.
Before taking my leave, I asked for and received from Pope Leo his Blessing,
to be extended over our entire Congregation and the whole Passionist Family.
