From August 10 to 19, 2026, the International Passionist Youth Gathering is taking place at the Passionist Generalate in Rome, Italy,
with the theme “Charism that unites, mission that sends.” The gathering aims to offer young Passionists an experience of communion,
pilgrimage, and reflection on the origins of the Congregation, especially through the life, spirituality, and places connected with
Saint Paul of the Cross. The program began in Rome with moments of welcome, integration, and celebration, and continues through
important places in Passionist history, such as Ovada, Castellazzo, Monte Argentario, Vetralla, and various places connected with
the journey of Saint Paul of the Cross in Rome. Throughout the days, participants experience moments of prayer, Eucharistic celebrations,
pilgrimages, sharing, group work, and cultural activities. Among the highlights are the Passionist Spirituality Course, with the theme
“Living and proclaiming the Passion. Charism, spirituality and mission between heritage and the present,” and the second formative moment,
“From grateful memory to missionary commitment,” which seeks to transform the dreams and hopes of young people into concrete lines of missionary action.
The gathering will conclude on August 19, following the audience with Pope Leo XIV, a moment of evaluation and remembrance of the experience lived,
and the concluding Eucharistic celebration, presided over by the Superior General, Fr. Giuseppe Adobatti, CP, at the Basilica of Saints John and Paul in Rome.
