Servo di Dio EUGENIO RAFFAELE FAGGIANO

Eugenio Raffaele Faggiano (in religious life, Eugenio of St. Raphael the Archangel) was a professed priest of the Congregation of the Passion of Jesus Christ.

He was consecrated bishop of the Diocese of Cariati (Calabria, Italy). He ministered in a very difficult context, characterized by great poverty and within a chaotic climate. He reestablished the diocesan seminary, carefully organized pastoral visits and was outstanding in works of charity that he performed in favor of the various categories of the needy, so much so that he was nicknamed “the bishop with holes in his hands”.

The diocesan inquiry ended in 1991.
