On 01 January 2017, Mr. Ignatius Michael died in Rome at the age of 80.  For forty years (1969-2009) “Michele” faithfully served the Curia and the Generalate Community of Sts. John and Paul as front door receptionist.  In many ways, he was the first person who welcomed visitors, including Passionists, to Sts. John and Paul.  On his last day of work at the Generalate, he wrote in his work registry—“Ringrazio Dio/ Thanks be to God/ Deo gratias!”

He was born in Michaelpatnam, India and subsequently became an Italian citizen.  He was married with two children.
