The community of Saints John and Paul in Rome celebrated this special day convened by the UN with a prayer service in the garden of the Generalate and by planting four Japanese Maple trees. They were planted by:
1) Bro. Timoteo Specchia, who will retire from the community after 37 years of service in the cafeteria and kitchen of the Generalate (God bless him for his valuable and tireless service);
2) Fr. Mirek Lesiecky, Rector, on behalf of the community;
3) Fr. Jesús M. Aristín, Representative of JPIC;
4) Fr. Ottaviano D’Egidio, Superior General, who dedicated the tree to the Passionists religious and people of Japan who are suffering because of the earthquake.
