Course in the history of the Congregation
SPAIN 23 – 25 October 2017
From 23 to 25 October 2017, at the SCOR Province novitiate in Daimiel (Spain), three of the members of the Historical Commission of the Congregation, Frs. Alessandro Ciciliani (MAPRAES), Robert Carbonneau (PAUL) and Andrés San Martín presented a course in the history of the Congregation to the novices. The topics were, respectively: “The first six General Chapters of the Congregation (1747-1775)”; “How meditation and prayer on our international Passionist saints strengthens our Passionist vocation”; and “The Passionists of Rome in Latin America: the Foundation in Mexico”. The seven novices, the novice master, the local superior and other religious of the community participated in the course. Due to the absence of one of the members of the Commission, Fr. Pablo Gonzalo, the three-day course was very intense. The participation and enthusiasm of the participants enhanced this opportunity to learn about our common heritage.
