Conclusion of the celebrations for the passionist martyrs of World War II

On 01 October the
religious of the ASSUM Province of Poland concluded the celebrations
marking the seventieth anniversary of the martyrdom of various Polish
Passionists during the Second World War. 

In 1941 in the Nazi concentration camp of Dzia?dowo (Soldau) four
priests and three Brothers of the community of Przasnysz were killed:

Fr. CZES?AW (of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary) ZA?OGA CPFr. SYLWIUSZ (of the Most Blessed Sacrament) PAJEWSKI CP – the Superior
of the community

Fr. JÓZEF (of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary) ROSI?SKI CP 
Fr. LAURENTY (of the Passion of the Lord) BUGAJ CP 
Bro. ANTONI (of the Annunciation of the B.V.M.) GLINKA CP 
Bro. TADEUSZ (of the Immaculate Mother of God) SIWOWSKI CP 
Bro. LEONARD (of the Lord Jesus Crucified) KUSKOWSKI CP  

The following year in Dachau, FR. WAC?AW (of the Lord Jesus Crucified)
KAMIE?SKI CP of the community of Sadowie was executed. 

In November 2010 the Province organized a theological symposium in
collaboration with the University of Cardinal Stefan Wyszy?ski in
Warsaw. In 2011 a Mass was celebrated in memory of the Polish Passionist
Martyrs in the Passionist church Przasnysz.  Fr. Waldemar
Linke CP, ASSUM Provincial Superior presided.

Fr. Przemys?aw ?liwi?ski CP, Superior of the community of Przasnysz,
presided at a celebration of the “Stations of the Cross” in the former
Nazi concentration camp of Dzia?dowo (Soldau). The meditations for each
station were written by Fr. Pawe? Wójcik CP and inspired by a poem by
Fr. Czes?aw Za?oga, one of the victim martyrs.
