XII GENERAL SYNOD OF THE
PASSIONIST CONGREGATION
Today the members of the synod
dedicated themselves to revising the new proposals that they prepared in small
groups. The proposals aim at adapting our Passionist
life style to the entire restructuring that the Congregation will undertake.
The following points were
studied in the groups and were discussed in the Synod Hall:
- Means of
achieving Viability for greater Vitality.
- Recommendations
of the Synod to the General Council.
- Possible dialogue
groups on Restructuring in the initial phase.
- Norms for the
participation of the Passionist Religious in the
General Chapters and General Synods.
- Next General
Chapter: topic, date and place.
- Glossary of words
and expressions for a restructuring process.
- Message of the
Synod to the entire Congregation.
- New proposals
about the Economy.
- Proposal on our Passionist Community in
- JPIC (Justice,
Peace and the Integrity of Creation).

- Proposals on
greater participation of the Laity who want to be consecrated the Passionist Charism.
On Monday there will voting on
the texts and definitive agreements.
